"Captain's Log, Stardate 57677.4, the Intrepid class USS Arizona has been assigned as a support vessel to the USS Olympia. The Olympia is a Galaxy class starship with Starfleet's core mission to seek out new life and new civilisations. After stopping for supplies at Narendra Station, we are now over three weeks from Federation space. The Olympia has been pursuing an investigation of the planet S2379 which was found to be strangely resistant to sensor probes whilst we have been cataloguing gaseous anomalies in The Shackleton Expanse.
We have become concerned about the Olympia as she is now 24 hours overdue for our rendezvous and we have had no contact with her since we entered the Expanse one week ago."
