Game 1 - A Mysterious Temple - 2nd November 2020
Captain's Log Stardate 57677.1
Day 7 into our mission and it seems to already be going tits up, to put it bluntly.
Luckily it's nothing new to me. Things never went to plan in times of war so I'm use to stuff like this happening. Saying that i don't think the higher ups at Starfleet will like my language, but, hey ho, from what we can tell we are the only Starfleet vessel in the system.
And that's the problem. The USS Olympia was meant to meet up with us. After they no showed we booted it at warp 7 to where they went to survey. In the rush our top science officer tripped over in her room and ended up in medbay with some serious wounds (life threatening if not for M7). To say he's a life saver would be an understatement. To say he doesn't understand life or how to talk to living beings, well, that's something to talk to his creator with at a later date.
So we entered the system but there was no sign of the Olympia. In fact the only thing we found were some signs it had arrived, but none that it had left or blown up.
All we had was a planet with about 3 to 5 life signs, so we geared up for the worst and had a shuttle ready at Lt . Commander Thavliss gh'Zellon's recommendation and took 2 of his best men with us. So together with me Thavliss and his men, we took M7 in case those life signs turned out to be any wounded Starfleet officers and Calan Volta our Chief Engineer in case we found anything from maybe a broken shuttle to the USS Olympia itself. Although had the latter been true I'd have thought it would be more so in bits as opposed to the full ship itself. We were thinking that he could be useful in case any of those happened and finding nothing less shocking.
On the plant, we found no ships or Starfleet personnel. Instead we found some Romulans officers and an ancient pyramid with a locked door at the top.
Now after some talking down the Romulans (with no help from M7 I might add - side note if we can get a mute button on him it could save lives in the future) we determined that they had a ship nearby that was cloaked. Seeing as how there was no ship debris anywhere in the system when we arrived, and seeing as the Romulans were as shocked to see us as we them, I'll go out on a limb and say they had nothing to do with the Olympia's going missing.
With the only clue being a pyramid on a planet with no other structures and no life forms we thought it best to check this place out. After we and the Romulans stayed out of each others' ways for a bit, neither of us were getting anything and the doors didn't want to open. Then, after a bored M7 went to ask if he could scan the door at the same time as the female Romulan (who, honestly, has me a bit flustered). Oh, anyway, as they scanned the door it opened we think it may be down to the different tech working together, but anyway, four of us will go down with the three Romulans we met and the two security officers that came with us will wait outside.
I won't lie. I think this is a trap and one the the Olympia's crew fell right in but we have no choice but to check this out for any signs of them.
Captain Peter Holden signing out.
And the adventure continues...
